This will begin a 4-day series of video devotional studies on the topic of "God Is Our Shepherd" from the Scriptures. By God's mysterious providence, Pastor Ken and I have both independently been reflecting on God's shepherding of us in recent days, and we wanted to share some of what has been so helpful for us during these difficult days.
Today, we'll look at the ways Jacob experienced God's shepherding care from the book of Genesis. Tomorrow, we'll take a look at David's Shepherd from the beloved Psalm 23. Wednesday, we'll plan to look at Yahweh as Israel's Shepherd, and finally Thursday we'll consider Jesus as the Prophesied Shepherd. Through all of these, we'll see how God's shepherding care for Jacob, David, and Israel points to Jesus's shepherding care for us today.
