What does it mean that God created humanity to be his image in this world? We've looked at this question previously, but let's focus in on the responsibility the Creator laid out for humanity, the responsibility to rule the rest of creation on his behalf. In Psalm 8, David reflects on this and notices a certain strangeness in God doing this. He reflects on both, at the same time, the exaltedness of humanity and also the frailty and smallness of humanity. But then the author of Hebrews takes David's words and reflects on the significance of God's design for humanity's reign in light of Jesus's death and resurrection. The author encourages us to "see Jesus" here, so let's take a look!
