As we begin a series of video devotional reflections on the topic of prayer this week, we'll take a look at Daniel's magnificent prayer that opens Daniel 9. Given the chronological marker at the beginning of the chapter, it's possible that this was the occasion of Daniel's praying that got him thrown into the lion's den back in Daniel 6, and the angel that prevented the lions from harming Daniel was none other than Gabriel who shows up to provide the response to Daniel's prayer in Daniel 9:20-27. Today, however, we want to focus on how Daniel prays, rather than the cryptic answer Gabriel provides. Open a Bible to Daniel 9.
